3Sixty Health was founded in 1978 by 38 black professionals, mostly doctors, who had a vision of starting up a medical aid primarily for the disenfranchised black South Africans. Under the leadership of political and business stalwart, Dr Nthato Motlana, and several other visionaries, including Dr Abner Tlakula, Sechaba was established together with Sizwe Medical Fund. Today, more than fourty years later, 3Sixty Health continues to administer Sizwe Medical Fund, a medical fund which has in excess of fifty thousand principal members.

3Sixty Health is 100% black owned and black managed Administrator. It is accredited by the Council for Medical Schemes to offer both administration and managed care services, allowing for a fully integrated, beneficiary-centric approach. Our core competencies in administration include membership management, billing, claim adjudication and customer services.

Our managed care offering includes pharmaceutical benefit management, hospital benefit management, disease risk management, medical advisory services, fraud, governance and risk management. These services are supported by a seamless integrated, highly scalable leading healthcare IT systemthat offers both administration and managed care on a single platform.

Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Osborn Mahanjana

Osborn Mahanjana holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of Witwatersrand which he completed in 2000. He enrolled for his MBA with Wits Business School in 2005, and halfway through his course, he was employed by Eli Lilly and Company SA. Upon completion of his MBA he was promoted to an executive position as Director Pricing, Reimbursement and Access. He also headed the Corporate Affairs Department. He completed an MSc Degree in Health Economics, Policy and Management at the London School of Economics. Osborn was CEO of the Industry  Association for Responsible Alcohol Use (ARA).
